Gown Consultation and Shopping  Shopping for just the right gown to make you look fabulous and one that will photograph perfectly is not an easy undertaking.  You need help from a professional who can show you just the right styles to enhance your beauty and flatter your figure.            You would think it ridiculous if your doctor visit consisted of the physician sitting there with a pad asking "Ok, what is wrong with you and what prescription do you want me to write for you?"                       A true wedding professional will ask questions to see what you like and then will weed through the thousands of styles to help you narrow down your selection.  This method will help keep you from getting overwhelmed with the process and ending up buying the dress you are standing in when you are sick of shopping and a strong sales person is pushing your buttons.  Don't let yourself get pressured into buying the wrong dress.  There is no pressure at The Gallery by Lynette.

Layaway: At The Gallery by Lynette we offer free layaway and storage of your gown until you're ready to wear it.

Alterations: Nowadays many bridal shops have quit offering in house alteration services leaving you to fend for yourself at a very vulnerable time with a priceless dress.                      At The Gallery by Lynette you can rest assured that only the finest and most experienced seamstress/designers will work on your gown.  With more than 30 years making and altering wedding gowns and formals you can know that your gown will turn out beautifully and to your satisfaction.  What if you gain or lose weight?  No Problem.  We know just what to do.

Gown Steam and Prep for your Wedding  This is a free service at The Gallery by Lynette.  Many salons charge up to $100 if you want your gown steamed.  Save money with us! Note: Only gowns purchased from our store are steamed for free.

Wedding Gown Preservation What should you do once your wedding is over?  I have three suggestions.  #1 Have your gown preserved by The Gallery by Lynette #2 Give it away.  #3 Sell it!  Number 2 and 3 are probably not what you would want to do with your most precious wedding gown but if you are thinking about just hangine it in the closet or even having it dry cleaned and stored in a cedar chest you will eventually do number 2 or wish you had chosen number 1.  Why not choose number 1 now?  No need to call ahead.  Just drop your gown by our store.  We will have your gown professionally preserved no matter where you purchased it.  Bring up to 2 other items to be included in the preservation chest at no additional charge.  Many preservation services require you to box your own gown and fill out confusing paperwork.  Don't risk losing or damaging your gown to save a dollar or two.  We take care of everything.  Including making sure your gown is protected and insured every step of the way.

Below are frequently asked questions about gown preservation

When should I bring in my gown for preservation?  As soon as you are finished with it.  The sooner you have your gown cleaned and preserved the less likely you will have stains set.

Should I have my gown cleaned before bringing in for preservation?  No. Cleaning is part of the preservation process.   What stains are removed with your process?   We are able to remove approximately 95% of all stains. Those such as tar, blood, perspiration, grass, mud, grease, and food are the most common. Also any sugar stains from cake icing, wine and other beverages.   Local dry cleaners often are not able to remove sugar stains which may be invisible now but can actually eat holes in your dress.

I have heard of instances where the gown was not in the returned heirloomed chest.  How can I know that I will receive my gown?  The preservation chest actually has a viewing window and although your gown is sealed and protected you can see everything through  the display window?  You will be able to view your gown and veil. Any other items will be positioned at the bottom of the window, where possible, or packed underneath your dress.

What else can I send along with my gown?   You may also send items such as your veil, headpiece, gloves, garter, moneybag, handkerchief, slip, flower girl gown, etc. Additional fees may apply.

Can someone wear my gown after it is preserved?  Yes, but once the wearing is finished you will want to return your gown to The Gallery by Lynette for re-preservation.  It is also handy is an undesirable wants to borrow your gown.  "Sorry, It has been sealed."  End of problem.
