Beware of online websites selling gowns for less than you know they cost in the stores.  Many times they have stolen the pictures off the designer's website and are offering "replica" gowns.  Click here for more info.  Many major designers do not allow their gowns to be sold below a certain price point because they want you to receive professional service and a good experience.  Those who sell for less than msrp are usually either not an authorized retailer or they are jeopardizing their authorized retailer status in either case you may give them unrecoverable money and end up with no gown.  We suggest that you deal only with authorized outlets for the gown of your choice.  The risk far outweighs any discount you will realize.

A friend of mine who researches trends in bridal and weddings says that the most terrifying part of planning a wedding has shifted from the medical exam to shopping for the gown.
